Transport Canada has completed a harbour inspection report after three people were killed when their boat slammed into the Leamington Marina's outer breakwall late one night last month.
The report is in the hands of the provincial Ministry of Transportation, which plans to meet with local officials to decide what, if any, changes will be made to the breakwall.
The crash wasn't the first of its kind. Several other boats have been scuttled on the rocks of the breakwall in recent years.
The incidents have left many, including the town's mayor questioning the safety and necessity of the stone wall.
Some boaters have complained that the rocks are hard to see at night because the wall blends in with the skyline and the lighting is poor. Others have said it serves no purpose and should be removed.
The report includes a number of recommendations, but it hasn't been made public yet.
