Lindsay Lohan: I'm 'Only Going Up, Up, Up From Here'

Lindsay Lohan wants her fans to know she's focused and she's back.

On Tuesday evening, the actress hit her Twitter page, responding to fans who sent her well wishes, including congratulating her on news Access Hollywood's Billy Bush first broke on Monday - she's scored the role of Liz Taylor in the Lifetime TV movie "Liz and Dick."

"I'm only on for quick moments at a time lol... i'm actually cleaning - was at community service all day," she wrote when one fan expressed their dismay at not being able to Tweet the star when she happens to pop online.

Another fan told Lindsay to "stay strong," and Lindsay replied, showing off her determination.

"i'm a tough cookie! a focused tough cookie! :)" she wrote.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a source told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush that Lindsay scored the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime TV movie, "Liz and Dick," with one legal-related caveat: Lindsay needs to stay on the right side of court.

According to the source, if the actress continues to stick to the judge's orders, as she has been doing, she will be playing the "Cleopatra" beauty in the Lifetime made-for-TV film about the late actress.

In addition, she will host "Saturday Night Live" on March 3, with Jack White as the musical guest.

Look, she's a person who has struggled for several years now, but she's still pretty young. If Robert Downey, Jr. can conquer his demons, perhaps Ms. Lohan can too. I don't know why anyone would actively root against her making a comeback. She showed some real talent at one point. She needs to get rid of that hair, though. Go back to the red hair, Lindsay.

A beautiful young lady. So glad she has turned her life in the right direction. Can't wait to see her as iconic Liz Taylor.

Lindsay is like a rollercoster, one minute up the next minute down. This is what bad parenting and drugs can do to you. Let us hope she stays up much longer.

I want to believe that she can get herself back together and be as brilliant as she was in movies when I was growing up (Parent Trap, Mean Girls, etc.) I know she's been a train wreck, from drugs to abusive parents and that would certainly screw someone up, possibly for the rest of their life if they don't try to make a change. And to be honest I think that she hasn't really tried till now. But as for whether she can or not, it's too soon to say. Still, good luck Lohan!

She's going up alright. Hasn't that been the problem all along, up and up and more up and up. She'll be next on the doa list one day. They won't be having the classy send off for her they had for Whitney that's for sure with that family it would be a dog fight.

Up up up is how crack and meth usually make one feel. If you really want to get well - leave show business.

Are people here serious? Have you seen her latest pictures? She's not clean or sober! Wow, I knew her fans were delusional, but to deny the obvious is really getting ridiculous.

I don't think that a person with multiple addictions would lie to me.

I hope she's really going to clean her #$%$ up. There's reason why she can't, people do it all the time. Sure she's messed up, but people change. Why don't you guys try being positive for a change? Let's wish her the best of luck...even though she's no Liz Taylor huh?
