Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives (MAFRI) advises, as a result of the unusually late fall season, the province has extended the requirement for permits to burn crop residue to Dec. 4. Previously, the requirement for permits ended on Nov. 15.

End of an Era? Each year, as part of our annual cattle operation, we have held a cattle drive. Although it is a lot of work, there is something to be said for “doing things the traditional way.” It looks as if that tradition may no longer be viable for us or other Manitoba cattle producers.
