Young Townshippers have the lowest rate of immunization coverage against influenza A (H1N1). As of last week only 24.9 per cent of young adults between the ages of 18 to 19 years received the vaccine.
To no one’s surprise, councillor Serge Paquin was selected as Sherbrooke’s municipal council president during Monday night’s city council meeting. It was suspected that Paquin – who was vocal about his interest for the position – would obtain the seat.
“Engineers are the creators of the artificial world,” said François Charron, a professor of mechanical engineering at l’Université de Sherbrooke. “They are the ones who have created everything that surrounds us.”
The project repairing and renovating the municipal arena seems to have struck pay dirt with all three levels of government with official word coming down Monday of approval involving three equal payments, federal, provincial and municipal of $29,543.
The unemployment rate in Quebec continued its downward trend in November, falling to 8.1 percent. Released this past Friday, the Statistics Canada’s monthly unemployment report revealed that Quebec’s labour market saw the creation of 21,400 new jobs, with just over 18,000 of them being full-time.
