The town council and local police say they’re not out to spoil anyone’s fun, but things have to change when it comes to the use of dirt bikes and ATVs.

    The mess must go.     That’s the final word from the Port aux Basques Town Council to the two remaining businesses that have not cleaned up their properties in the Grand Bay West Industrial Park.

    Spending $50,000 could mean much more to the Town of Port aux Basques.     The town council approved the expenditure of $50,000 from its economic development fund, along with $60,000 in in-kind work, in the hope of leveraging government funding to develop a marina.
