It's a delight walking up Sarah Nippard's driveway on a summer's day. A mature lilac tree resides on her front lawn and the scent of the tree's blooms waft through the air.

It was a day to celebrate culture and shared histories.

Final preparations are being put in place for a celebration eagerly anticipated by residents and ex-pats of one Bay St. George community.

The Bay St. George Tourism Centre is now open at the Kindale Library in Stephenville.
