Man lured into laneway, beaten unconscious and robbed, say police

A 20-year-old man was walking in the Spadina Avenue and Bloor Street West area when he was lured into an alley, beaten unconscious and robbed, according to police.

Four men lured the man into a laneway at around 2:50 a.m. on Aug. 21, where he was knocked unconscious and dragged out of the view of pedestrians, say police. The say the man was then robbed.

Police add the man was kicked while "in a defenseless state."

Investigators are seeking the public's assistance identifying the four suspects.
