Manitoba gets break as warm air rolls in for weekend
Warm air is pushing into Manitoba, bumping temperatures above normal values through the weekend.
But with that warm air comes a freezing rain warning for west-central Manitoba, including The Pas, Wanless, Swan River, Duck Mountain and Lake Winnipegosis.
There is also a slight risk of freezing rain in Winnipeg this afternoon with a high today of –1 C but we won't reach that until late this evening.
Saturday will bring highs around 2 C in western Manitoba and about –1 C in Winnipeg. Sunday's high in Winnipeg will be about –2 C on Sunday with snow.
The overnight lows will also be mild at about –4 C.
Then the cold storms back next week with daytime highs between –9 C and –13 C and overnight lows ranging from –11 C to –18 C.
The normal daytime high for this time of year is –4 C. The normal low is –12 C.
