    Montreal animal rescue group questioned

    There are questions about a Montreal organization that helps find homes for cats and dogs.

    Paws for Life tries to help unwanted animals — but some people who have offered assistance have concerns about the organization.

    WATCH Catherine Cullen's report

    Paws for Life issued a statement in response to the report.

    The organization says "not all foster [families] fully understand the extent of the responsibility which comes from taking in an animal from a shelter, and the behavioural problems which may sometimes manifest themselves."

    The group says they save animals from being euthanized, work that few others want to do — and they rely on community volunteers who are simply trying to make a difference.
