NHL-National Hockey League roundup

March 29 (The Sports Xchange) - Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang has been diagnosed with a concussion after taking a hard hit Saturday. Letang, widely considered a candidate for the Norris Trophy, left the game against the Arizona Coyotes at 15:15 of the second period. After Letang released a long outlet pass deep in his end, Coyotes right winger Shane Doan hit him and Letang fell backward into the end boards. Letang needed assistance as he left the ice and was taken to a hospital for evaluation and was released Sunday. It's unclear how long he will be sidelined. Letang has a history of concussions and suffered a stroke last year. He is third on the Penguins with 54 points (11 goals, 43 assists). -- The San Jose Sharks recalled defenseman Taylor Fedun from the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League. Fedun has recorded two goals in four NHL games, all with Edmonton during the 2013-14 season. -- The Toronto Maple Leafs reassigned defenseman T.J. Brennan to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. Brennan, 25, has registered seven penalty minutes in four games with the Maple Leafs this season. -- Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber missed his second straight game with a lower-body injury after having played in the team's first 75 games. He's considered day-to-day. (Editing by Larry Fine) ))
