Medics carry a fatally wounded Afghan male into an emergency room after he was shot by Canadian soldiers on foot patrol in the volatile Panjwaii district of Kandahar province, October 1, 2009. Canadian troops opened fire on him and one other unidentified youth riding a motorcylce on Thursday after they ignored verbal and physical orders to stop and then disregarded warning shots before accelerating towards the patrolling soldiers, an army official said. Kandahar province is where Canadian and other international troops have been targeted by Taliban insurgents using suicide attacks and improvised explosive devices. The two males, who had no weapons or explosives on them, later died after medics tried to revive them. REUTERS/Finbarr O'Reilly
