Officers from Indonesia's Agriculture Quarantine Agency throws a dead dog into a pit to be burnt in Banyuwangi, East Java province of Indonesia, November 20, 2009. According to the head of the agency, Arifin Tasrif, about 45 dogs infected with rabies from the resort island of Bali were burnt at Banyuwangi Animal Quarantine Center on Friday. Authorities have killed 28,509 stray dogs and vaccinated 115,593 dogs so far this year. The death toll in Bali currently stands at 12.
