Iraqis shout during a demonstration against a plan by MPs to adopt a closed voting system during the upcoming general elections, at Firdus Square in Baghdad, October 2009. The head of the Iraqi electoral commission said on Thursday it is now too late to organise a general election as planned on January 16 after repeated delays by MPs in adopting an electoral law.
