Major League Soccer
DC United midfielder Ben Olsen chases the ball during the MLS Eastern Conference semifinal match against Chicago Fire at RFK Stadium in Washington October 30, 2005. Olsen announced his retirement from professional soccer on November 24, 2009. Olsen won eight trophies while at DC United, including two MLS Cups (1999 & 2004). Olsen was a two-time MLS All-Star (1998 & 1999), the 1998 MLS Rookie of the Year, the 1999 MLS Cup MVP, the 2003 USSF Humanitarian of the Year and was named one of the MLS Best XI in 2007.
