A protester holds placards denouncing North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il at a rally in Seoul, South Korea. The hardline Stalinist state has produced more plutonium to make nuclear weapons, official media have said, a day after the north threatened to 'go its own way' unless Washington agrees to direct talks.
