A Somali woman is taken to a hospital after she was wounded during shelling between the Islamic insurgents and Somalia government soldiers backed by the AU forces, in the south of Mogadishu, Somalia, Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009. Mortars slammed into Somalia's capital killing and wounding people, Mogadishu's ambulance service said. Somalia's capital sees near-daily bloodshed as insurgents try to overthrow the government and push out African Union peacekeepers.
