An Australian Customs official keeps watch over Sri Lankan refugees inside the ship as a fishing boat carrying media approaches the vessel Oceanic Viking, which is anchored near Bengkil Island, about 14km (8.2 miles) east of Tanjung Pinang and the port of Kijang on the Indonesian island of Bintan, October 29, 2009. Australia insisted on Wednesday that 78 Sri Lankan asylum seekers rescued by one of its customs ships would not be brought to Australia, despite media reports that Indonesian officials had refused to accept the boatpeople.
