Kennedy died on August 25 at the age of 77 after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Edward Kennedy is buried near his brothers Robert, whose grave is at left, rear, and John, whose Eternal Flame resting place is behind the crowd. Robert Kennedy was a New York Senator and U.S. presidential candidate when he was assassinated in 1968, and John, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated in 1963.
