A Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) official measures a dead whale shark at the shoreline of the Philippine coast guard headquarters in Manila October 28, 2009. It was found floating at the seawall of Manila bay by fishermen and was 17.5 feet (5.3 metres) long. Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) officials have brought the whale shark to a laboratory to determine how it died.
