Members of the Philippine coastguard tie a nylon rope to drag a dead whale shark from the shoreline of the coastguard headquarters in Manila October 28, 2009. It was found floating at the seawall of Manila bay by fishermen and was measured to be 17.5 feet (5.3 metres) long. Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) officials have brought the whale shark to a laboratory to determine how it died.
