Olivia Colman Up For Fourth BAFTA Award

Olivia Colman has been nominated for a BAFTA for a fourth consecutive year after being recognised for her role in the television comedy Rev.

Last year the actress won her third BAFTA in two years after picking up the leading actress award for Broadchurch.

This time the pregnant star will be fighting it out in the female performance in a comedy category against Tamsin Greig (Episodes), Jessica Hynes (W1A) and Catherine Tate (Catherine Tate's Nan).

Colman has become a familiar face on British television, starring in Accused, W1A and two series of Broadchurch with David Tennant.

Benedict Cumberbatch has received his third nomination for his performance as Sherlock Holmes.

The star, who lost out on a best actor Oscar earlier this year, is nominated for the best actor award alongside Toby Jones (Marvellous), James Nesbitt (The Missing) and Jason Watkins (The Lost Honour Of Christopher Jefferies).

The actresses nominated are Line Of Duty star Keely Hawes, Sheridan Smith for Cilla, Sarah Lancashire for Happy Valley and Georgina Campbell who starred in Murdered By My Boyfriend.

Colman's co-star Tom Hollander is also recognised, with a nomination for male performance in a comedy programme.

He faces competition from Hynes' co-star Hugh Bonneville, Toast Of London's Matt Berry, and the brains behind Mrs Brown's Boys Brendan O'Carroll.

BBC dramas dominate with Happy Valley, Marvellous, The Missing and Line Of Duty all leading the way with three nods.

Sky News is named in the news coverage category for Alex Crawford's reporting on Ebola in Liberia with cameraman Garwen McLuckie and producer Nick Ludlam.

Netflix has received two nominations in the international category for Orange Is The New Black and House Of Cards. They are joined by Sky Atlantic's True Detective and More4's The Good Wife.

Chris O'Dowd's Moone Boy on Sky 1 has also been named in the scripted comedy category alongside Harry & Paul's Story Of The Twos, The Wrong Mans and Detectorists.

Sky 1 has also received a nomination for BAFTA Fellow David Attenborough's Conquest Of The Skies 3D.

Strictly Come Dancing's Claudia Winkleman is nominated for best entertainment performance alongside chatshow host Graham Norton, Ant and Dec and Celebrity Juice's Leigh Francis.

The nominations were announced at BAFTA's central London headquarters by actors Freddie Fox and Sherlock star Amanda Abbington.

This year's ceremony is at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London on Sunday 10 May.
