Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne concerned for Justin Bieber

Kathleen Wynne's motherly instinct kicks in when she sees the troubles of 19-year-old pop star and Stratford, Ont.-native Justin Bieber.

“It’s hard for me to think about Justin Bieber, who is such a talented young Canadian kid from Stratford, other than as a mom," says the 60-year-old mother of three.

The Ontario premier offered her thoughts on Bieber after he was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, for driving under the influence and resisting arrest. She sympathized with him, and says she hopes he can "stay on track".

“He’s a 19-year-old boy — a young adult — who’s really been on such as fast track since he was 14 years old," she says.

She hopes Bieber has surrounded himself with people who will "circle him with love and support so that he can be healthy and successful," she told reporters at an event to promote children's health.

Wynne is also a grandmother.
