Oscar Producers: Whitney Houston 'Will Be Remembered' At Sunday Ceremony

With impressive movie credits that include "The Bodyguard," "Waiting to Exhale" and "The Preacher's Wife," the late Whitney Houston will not be forgotten this Sunday at the 84th Academy Awards.

Access Hollywood correspondent Tim Vincent caught up with show producers Don Mischer and Brian Grazer who revealed details on the plans to remember the late superstar.

"As far as Whitney Houston is concerned, she's acknowledged," Grazer said on Thursday. "There's a moment with her [in] In Memoriam. She's an important actress and singer and artist and we will make sure that she's in the [In] Memoriam piece."

Mischer explained that this year's look back at the stars who have passed is quite full.

"It's difficult putting a memoriam piece together because Elizabeth Taylor, unfortunately, we lost this year," the veteran TV producer explained. "There are so many major film stars we lost, so we try and make it inclusive, but there are limitations to what you can do, but [Whitney] will be remembered," he said.

In related Oscar news, Tim asked whether Eddie Murphy, who was originally slated to host this year's show, when Brett Ratner was producing, will make an appearance.

    "Not right now," Grazer said.

"Oh, so it's still a possibility?" Tim asked.

"You will be unsuccessful putting words in our mouths, sorry," Mischer added.
