B.C. woman can keep deer in home
After a dramatic couple of days, Janet Schwartz and her pet deer Bimbo can continue with their normal lives, now that the all-clear has been given for Bimbo to continue living in Schwartz's home. The ten-year-old doe and her 70-year-old human companion faced separation last week when conservation officers arrived at the Ucluelet, B.C. home after someone filed a complaint about Schwartz keeping a wild animal as a pet. By Friday, the government decided to reverse its decision, and are allowing Schwartz to keep Bimbo with the aid of a veterinarian and conservation officials.
