Idle No More Day of Action
Protesters supporting the First Nations movement Idle No More blocked railways, highways and other thoroughfare on January 16 as part of a national day of action. Aboriginal leaders say that there has been a lack of consultation to environmental protection regulations, prompting groups to cause these 'economic slowdowns' in order to encourage greater transparency and communication.
