Obama visits Newtown, Connecticut
U.S. President Barack Obama attended a vigil on Sunday in Newtown, Connecticut to join the friends and loved ones of the 20 children and 7 adults who lost their lives in the shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school. Obama addressed those gathered in the auditorium and those watching on television, pledging to prevent further tragedies like this one from happening again.
