Amen. You people out East always seem to get hit with the worst, each winter.

Meanwhile, this year, us Upper Canuckers are walking through mud and scratching our heads. One day it rains, next day it half-rains, next it half-snows. I find myself, as a hardy Canadian, wishing for one - just one! - mighty snowstorm this year. We're at the end of January, and winter ain't over yet. It might yet happen!

      I miss winter.

Morons like The Globe's Margaret Wente like to thumb their noses at science, play "devil's advocate," and just be plain silly in the face of facts. She's done it for years9. That's not good journalism, and Wente is not a good journalist. Perhaps The Globe keeps her on because she gets their readers riled up.

how much damage did nature do last year in the 10s of billion looks like its starting out the same way . who was the scientist who said nature never betrayed the heart that loved her,but we humans never heeded that warning but keep distroying this once beautiful planet, not enough humans care what happens . I believe water will be the destructive force we should all worry about
