Pickup truck on fire stalls traffic in Yellowknife

Traffic was moving slowly this evening on Franklin Avenue in Yellowknife after a pick-up truck caught fire near Forrest Drive.

The fire department has put the fire out.

Two women who were in the truck at the time escaped unharmed. They say the fire started in a pile of wood in the flatbed of the truck.

Before firefighters arrived, flames were leaping from the back of the truck.

Other drivers were honking and trying to get the driver to stop.
