Police investigate fatal road incident in Woodbridge
Police are investigating after a fatal collision in Woodbridge.
York Regional Police were called to the scene in the Islington and Wycliffe Avenues area shortly before 7:30 p.m. Sunday night, where they found one person who had been struck by a vehicle.
The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Police could not confirm if the person was a pedestrian or someone who had just gotten out of another nearby car.
No details about the person were available and no other injuries associated with the collision were reported.
Police said everyone involved in the incident and witnesses were co-operating.
A stretch of Islington Avenue from Wycliffe Avenue to Wycliffe Gate was closed for several hours last night as police investigated.
