Hampton RCMP are investigating after a Grade 6 student was allegedly cornered in her school washroom by two other girls who held her down and cut her hair.
The incident reportedly occurred last Thursday at Hampton Middle School.
"This would be certainly more in the area of an assault because it was an isolated incident," said Gary Hall, the acting superintendent of School District 6.
He called it a random event.
The victim had just arrived at the school in early December.
She was allegedly held down by one student while the other used a pair of scissors to cut her hair.
