One of the Parti Québécois's junior ministers has announced she will be leaving her seat in cabinet.
Junior Public Health Minister Véronique Hivon, 42, has stepped down from her position barely a month after her party was elected as Quebec's new minority government.
She announced she was pregnant and had undisclosed health issues on Thursday.
Hivon told Quebec Premier Pauline Marois she was leaving her position before making the announcement.
She said she would stay on as a member of the national assembly for the riding of Joliette.
Health Minister Réjean Hébert will be picking up her cabinet duties.
Hivon has been a member of the national assembly since 2008.
