Rash of break-ins in Young, Saskatchewan

A village located south-east of Saskatoon was the target of a rash of break-ins early this morning.

Brian Rowan, the mayor of Young, Sask. said the town's co-op store, post office and town office were all broken into.

"They went through the front door of the co-op, broke it, and then they went in the back door of the post office, and the back door of the village office," said Rowan, from the town located about 100 kilometres south-east of Saskatoon.

It wasn't immediately clear what had been stolen, he said.

"The co-op has got a bunch of cigarettes and candy, gum and stuff like that thrown all over the place."

RCMP are investigating.
