RCMP investigate new lead in McCann disappearance

RCMP in Edmonton are asking for the public's help in their investigation into a specific lead regarding the disappearance of Lyle and Marie McCann.

Lyle and Marie McCann, both in their 70s, were last seen that day

gassing up their motorhome in their hometown of St. Albert, just outside

Edmonton, before a trip to British Columbia in July 2010.

Two days later, the burned-out RV about 200 kilometres west of

Edmonton. Soon after, an SUV they had been hauling on their trip was

    discovered near the area.

In an ongoing investigation, RCMP are now asking for help finding the person who may have done the welding modification on the McCann's 2006 Hyundai Tucson. The modification was made to a tow bar of an A-frame towing assembly, police said, which they say was used on the 1999 Gulf Stream Voyager RV used to tow the SUV.

According to police, prior to 2006 the tow bar assembly had been mounted to a Dodge Ram 50 pickup truck. Police say at some point the tow bar was removed from the pickup, modified, and attached to the SUV. They are looking for the person that may have done this modification.

RCMP say that at any given time at least six people are actively investigating the McCann case. To date, there have been over 2040 tips received, over 845 investigation-related tasks and over 2460 documents associated to the case.

Anyone with information concerning this case contact the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

There are a lot of muzzies in that area who would find it fun to do in a couple of defenceless infidels?. Has that community been interviewed? Has the imam put the hush up order on the "faithful?"
