The RCMP are investigating another a sex toy theft after a home was broken into in the Bouctouche First Nation area earlier this month.
The police say a sex toy was stolen from the home sometime between Oct. 2 and Oct. 4, while the homeowners were away.
RCMP Cpl. Chantal Farrah said it's still too early to say if there's a link between this latest incident and a rash of thefts last year involving 20 separate cases of sex toys and undergarments being stolen.
"As investigators, it's important to us not to assume and to work with facts and the evidence we have on hand,” Farrah said.
“So we are investigating this theft and are looking for anyone who may have information."
The police in eastern New Brunswick are still investigating the other cases of sex toy and undergarment thefts.
The RCMP said the majority of the thefts have happened between July and December 2011. There was one similar break-in in the area in July 2010.
Farrah said some people are embarrassed to report this kind of theft. But she said investigators are trained to deal with incidents such as these.
