Roosting bats have closed a community centre in Chatham, Ont., just east of Windsor.
Services inside the WISH Centre on King Street East have moved its services to other sites around town while staff deals with the bats.
The centre houses Public Health clinics, the local black historical society and a community gymnasium.
"It's a precaution," Tim Dick, a director with the municipality's infrastructure and engineering services department, said in a media release. "During recent maintenance, we discovered bat droppings in some of the building's structural spaces. It's not a good idea to leave them there and so we're going to clean them up."
