MADRID (AFP) - Real Betis moved closer to completing the transfer of Cameroon international Achille Emana from French side Toulouse Friday after the owner of the Spanish club, Manuel Ruiz de Lopera, agreed to "personally guarantee" the signing of the midfielder.
"This was a requirement which Touluse deemed mandatory to complete the transfer of the player to Real Betis," the club said on its website.
Emana, who has said he would welcome a move to the Spanish side despite being under contract in France until 2011, will travel to Seville next week for medical tests, it added.
Real Betis have reportedly offered Toulouse six million euros (9.3 million dollars) for the 26-year-old.
