BOSTON (AFP) - Jason Richardson hit six-of-seven from the arch en route to a 34-point, 10-rebound performance as the Phoenix Suns beat Boston 110-103 handing the Celtics their first loss of the 2009-10 season.
Canada's Steve Nash had 16-points and 12-assists for Phoenix, which rebounded from its only loss this season, a 122-100 loss to Orlando on Wednesday.
Amare Stoudemire scored 22 points and seven rebounds, while Grant Hill and Jared Dudley had 12 and 10 points.
Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the team's first loss in seven National Basketball Association games this year.
Ray Allen and Paul Pierce each had 16 points but Pierce struggled at times going five-of-15 in shooting.
Rajon Rondo added 11 assists and 14 points but the key was three-point shooting, as Phoenix shot 13-of-24 long range compared to Boston's four-for-18 effort.
