VERNON, B.C. - Canada's Jennifer Jones completed a Wednesday sweep at the Ford world women's curling championship with an 8-6 win over Gail Munro of Scotland.
Jones opened the day with a 7-4 extra-end victory over Japan's Moe Meguro.
The two-win performance improved Canada's record to 8-1, clinching at least a berth in Friday's tie-breaker.
Jones outcurled Munro for most of the match, but Scotland still had a chance to win after tying the game with a single in the ninth.
Facing two Canadian stones, Munro's comearound attempt with her final shot of the 10th was unsuccessful, and Canada escaped with its third straight win.
