NIPAWIN, Sask. - Police say charges will not be laid in a massive natural gas explosion that killed two people in a small Saskatchewan town.
The April 18 explosion also injured three others and demolished a handful of businesses in Nipawin. The blast was caused when a natural gas pipe was damaged by construction equipment.
Brent Boxall, who was in his early 50s, and his father Jack, who was in his 70s, were killed.
Sgt. Carole Raymond says Nipawin RCMP have completed their investigation, and found no basis for any criminal charges.
