LEEDS, Ala. - Several workers have been injured and others trapped in a roof collapse at a clothes hanger factory in Alabama.
Officials say ambulances have taken two injured workers to hospital, although neither appeared to have life-threatening injuries. Rescuers had to help some people get free and an infrared camera was being used to make sure no one else was still trapped.
The accident occurred at the M&B Hangers factory in Leeds, near Birmingham, shortly before 9:30 a.m.
It wasn't immediately clear why the roof collapsed, or how many people were inside.
WBMA-TV reported that construction crews were working on beams inside the building.
M&B is one of the largest of a handful of hanger companies remaining in the United States.
