CAIRO, Egypt - The media wing of al-Qaida has announced that its leader Osama bin Laden will soon issue a new message addressed to the Islamic world.

Al-Sahab today posted a banner on a militant website known for carrying the terror network's messages that soon a "powerful speech to the Islamic nation" will be issued.

The announcement comes hard on the heels of a message from Bin Laden on Friday marking the 60th anniversary of Israel's foundation in which he vowed to continue his struggle against the Jewish state.

Messages typically appear within 72 hours of being announced.
