CALGARY - Bylaw officials say they're handing out more tickets for urinating in public to rowdy Calgary Stampede rodeo-goers.
Bill Bruce, manager of the city's bylaw enforcement division, says they've so far handed out a dozen tickets, which he says is higher than at the same time last year.
He suggests even more people could be urinating in public, but says bylaw officers have to pretty much catch people in the act to give them a ticket.
Bruce says the number of tickets may be higher this year because there are more bylaw officers patrolling city streets looking for infractions by those attending Stampede festivities.
Violators can be fined a maximum of $300 for urinating in public.
