KABUL - A spokesman for Afghan President Hamid Karzai has obliquely accused Pakistan of being behind Monday's bombing of the Indian Embassy in Kabul.

Monday's bombing tore open the front gates of the Indian Embassy, killing 41 people and wounding about 150.

Humayun Hamidzada says the attack "has the hallmarks of a particular agency that has conducted similar attacks inside Afghanistan."

Hamidzada did not identify Pakistan's intelligence agency by name, but told reporters Tuesday it was "pretty obvious" who he was talking about.

Officials in Kabul have often accused Pakistani intelligence of being behind attacks in Afghanistan.
