TORONTO - The postponement of Tuesday's night's makeup game between the Houston Dynamo and D.C. United means Canadians Dwayne De Rosario and Pat Onstad will have little rest before Thursday's MLS all-star game in Toronto.
Power outages in the Washington, D.C., area, including RFK Stadium, have forced the match to be rescheduled to Wednesday night.
Unfortunately for De Rosario and Onstad, both of whom play for the Dynamo, it means they can't join the all-star team until Thursday morning. De Rosario is a midfielder from Toronto while Onstad is a goalkeeper from Vancouver.
Most of the MLS all-stars, including David Beckham of the L.A. Galaxy and Cuauhtemoc Blanco of the Chicago Fire, have already arrived in Toronto to get ready for the showcase game against West Ham (7 p.m. ET).
Houston's original match against D.C. United on June 4 was started and then cancelled due to storms in the area.
