PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Vaclav Havel is organizing a concert to mark the 20th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution that peacefully toppled communism in the former Czechoslovakia.
Havel says a number of prominent world leaders, including President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are expected to greet the concert in video messages.
The Nov. 14 show - "It's here, at last" - at the Prague Crossroads centre will feature soprano Renee Fleming, as well Lou Reed, Suzanne Vega and Joan Baez.
A Havel Web site calls them "artists who have a friendly relationship with our country."
They will be accompanied by the Prague Philharmonia conducted by Jiri Belohlavek.
Havel said Thursday rocker Reed may join Fleming on stage in an unusual duet.
