WASHINGTON - A U.S. official says Washington is looking at the possibility of air-dropping aid to cyclone victims in Myanmar, even without permission from the military government.

The director of the U.S. office of foreign disaster assistance says air drops are one option to help victims if the generals continue to limit outside aid and expertise.

But Ky Luu cautions that dropping aid by air is not the most efficient way to get food and supplies to those in need.

He says the disaster victims would benefit most by having U.S. and other aid workers allowed into the country.

gyoung484, If the USA tries to help - Moronic folk like yourself condemn them, IF they do NOT enter the Fray immediately , you also condemn and that is directly related to your absolute unintelligent view of the world. The fact here is that in all lilehood, there will be the loss of a million or more lives before this is over and so irregardless of the Political Issues - The entire World is obligated to assist in whatever way possible. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT??

lol gyoung.... Is your user name young to claim you are young cause its sounds like it the way you portray yourself here. The people are not saying no, its the government.. another attribute to dictatorship. how come china, india nor russia is offering aid for i know they would accept aid from these countries?
