Three Toronto FC players have been named to Canada's under-20 team for its upcoming exhibition game against reigning world champions Argentina.
Canadian coach Ray Clark announced his 19-man roster Tuesday, which includes Toronto players Nana Attakora-Gyan, Gabe Gala and Joey Melo.
Canada will face Argentina at Toronto's BMO Field on May 11, exactly a year to the day that the two sides met in an exhibition game at the same stadium. Argentina won that game 2-1.
The South Americans went on to win the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Canada that summer, defeating the Czech Republic 2-1 in the final to retain the title.
Canada's upcoming match against Argentina marks the beginning of its preparations for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2009 that will be held in Egypt.
