NOVA.SCOTIA (CBC) - Police say a fire that forced the evacuation of three homes in Halifax overnight was deliberately set.
Firefighters were called to the 2600 block of Gottingen Street just after midnight and helped the residents get out safely.
A 31-year-old woman is expected to appear in court Friday to face a charge of arson.
Halifax Regional Police say the fire was not a random act and the suspect was living in the home where the fire started.
There were no reports of injuries. The tenants of the adjoining residences were allowed to return home early Friday.
