WINNIPEG (CBC) - Winnipeg police have identified a body pulled from the Red River last week as that of a man who had been missing since mid-April.
Police recovered the body of Richard Harder, 61, from the river near the Louise Bridge on May 10.
Harper, known as "Patches" by those who knew him in the downtown and St. Boniface areas, was last seen in the North Main area on April 18.
At the time of his disappearance, police said he required daily medication, but had not been taking it for two weeks, which might have affected his behaviour.
Police are continuing to investigate Harder's death.
