WINNIPEG (CBC) - Mounties in Manitoba are asking for the public's help in finding a teenager from Gretna missing since a weekend camping trip.

Pancho Peters, 18, left his home on Saturday night to go camping at St. Malo Provincial Park, 60 kilometres south of Winnipeg.

He failed to return as expected on Sunday.

Peters, who also goes by the name Poko, is described as a blond-haired, blue-eyed man about five feet seven inches tall, weighing 165 pounds. He often wears a black ball cap, RCMP said.

He was driving a 1989 Pontiac 6000 with the Manitoba license plate DKC 926. The car has rust on the sides and a luggage rack attached to the trunk.

Anyone with information on Peters' whereabouts is asked to contact Carman RCMP at (204) 745-6773 or their local RCMP detachment.
